Andrew J. Kopciuch

Andrew Kopciuch is the President of BDDF Developments Inc.  Andrew was born in Saskatchewan and has now been in Calgary for 5 years.  He graduated from Palliser Campus SIAST in 1998 from the Computer Information Systems (CIS) division of the business department.  He has worked in corporate environments, experienced with venture capitol companies, been self employed and decided to start BDDF Developments in the summer of 2003.

Andrew has a vast amount of computer experience in several fields.  He has done integrated real-time software development, application design, development and testing, system administration, network administration, database administration, web system development, business analysis and many other specifics of each category.  He is pretty much a jack of all computer trades, and can make use of all of his different experiences to provide a macro perspective on each project he works on.

Andrew's most recent specialties have been related to systems built using Open Source software solutions.  He is an avid PostgreSQL supporter, and has made small contributions to the project by way of documenting a beginners guide to installing and using the full text indexing support for the database. http://www.sai.msu.su/~megera/postgres/gist/tsearch/V2/

Andy is a very determined programmer (as most developers are).  There has not been an obstacle he has encountered that there was not a solution for.  With over 7 years of industry experience his expertise has come from analyzing business requirements and implementing a fast, cost-effective, efficient solution.
